Finch West LRT: Construction blocks access to John Garland Boulevard; Brampton Transit, MiWay detouring buses, August 12, 15, 16

Metrolinx contractors continue building the Finch West light rail transit line between Humber College and Finch West subway station in the Etobicoke and North York areas of Toronto.


From 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, August 12, Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16, the City of Toronto is closing

  • John Garland Boulevard south of Finch Avenue West

to accommodate crews who are installing a storm sewer, as part of the project.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 50 Gore Road.

Southbound buses operate along their regular route.

From 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, August 12, Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Humber College and John Garland Boulevards, then detour:

south- and eastward along John Garland;
northward along Martin Grove Road; and then
westward along Finch Avenue West to John Garland,
resuming their regular route westward along Finch West.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on John Garland Boulevard at Finch Avenue West.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.

From 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, August 12, Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Humber College and John Garland Boulevards, then detour:

south- and eastward along John Garland;
northward along Martin Grove Road; and then
westward along Finch Avenue West to John Garland,
resuming their regular route westward along Finch West.

Westbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on John Garland Boulevard at Finch Avenue West.
