Metrolinx contractors continue to progress with the Davenport Diamond Guideway project on GO Transit’s Barrie line. The project to build an elevated structure to carry GO trains across the Davenport Diamond — where the line crosses the Canadian Pacific Railway’s busy North Toronto subdivision — is part of the GO Expansion program.
From 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 6 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 7 and continuing overnight nightly, the City of Toronto is closing
- Dupont Street between Campbell and Lansdowne avenues
so that contractors can remove equipment from under the railway bridge.
The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 26 Dupont.
The closure of Dupont Street and the resulting TTC detour continue overnight nightly until September 18 (6 a.m.)

From 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 6 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 7 and continuing overnight nightly until 6 a.m. Sunday, September 18, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Dupont Street and Symington Avenue, then detour:
northward along Symington;
eastward along Davenport Road; and then
southward along Lansdowne Avenue to Dupont,
resuming their regular route eastward along Dupont.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Dupont Street at Symington and Lansdowne avenues.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Symington Avenue across from Kingsley Avenue;
- on Davenport Road across from Caledonia Park Road and at Lansdowne Avenue and
- on Lansdowne Avenue beyond Davenport Road and at Brandon Avenue.
Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.
Westbound buses skip their regular stop
- on Dupont Street at Symington Avenue.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Lansdowne Avenue beyond Brandon Avenue,
- on Davenport Road at Caledonia Park Road and
- on Symington Avenue across from Adrian Avenue and at Dupont Street.
