Starting Wednesday, September 7, the City of Markham is closing
- Victoria Square Boulevard between Stony Hill Boulevard / Betty Roman Boulevard and Vine Cliff Boulevard / Donald Buttress Boulevard East,
while contractors replace culverts and upgrade the roadway.
York Region Transit is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:
- 418 Pierre Elliott Trudeau high-school special; and
- 452 Richmond Green high-school special via Hazelton.
Culvert and roadway construction on Victoria Square Boulevard and the resulting YRT detours continue until December 16.
418 Pierre Elliott Trudeau high-school special
Monday-to-Friday school days from Wednesday, September 7 until Friday, December 16, morning buses start their trips on Betty Roman Boulevard west of Victoria Square Boulevard, then proceed:
eastward along Betty Roman, crossing Victoria Square to continue along their regular route eastward along Stony Hill Boulevard.
Morning buses skip their usual stop
- on Victoria Square Boulevard [northbound] at Stony Hill Boulevard.
Instead, morning buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Betty Roman Boulevard [eastbound] at Victoria Square Boulevard.
Afternoon buses operate along their regular route to Victoria Square Boulevard and Donald Buttress Boulevard East / Vine Cliff Boulevard, then proceed:
westward along Donald Buttress East, Pope John Paul II Square and Donald Buttress West;
northward along Reflection Road; and then
eastward along Betty Roman Boulevard to Victoria Square Boulevard,
resuming their regular route eastward along Stony Hill Boulevard.Afternoon buses skip their regular stops
- on Victoria Square Boulevard at Vine Cliff and Stony Hill boulevards.
Instead, afternoon buses drop off passengers at a temporary stop
- on Betty Roman Boulevard [eastbound] at Victoria Square Boulevard.
452 Richmond Green high-school special via Hazelton
Monday-to-Friday school days from Wednesday, September 7 until Friday, December 16, buses operate along their regular route to Victoria Square Boulevard and Donald Buttress Boulevard East / Vine Cliff Boulevard, then detour:
eastward along Vine Cliff;
northward along Hazelton Road; and then
westward along Stony Hill Boulevard to Victoria Square,
resuming their regular route westward along Betty Roman Boulevard.Buses skip their regular stop
- on Victoria Square Boulevard at Stony Hill Boulevard.
