Elizabeth Street crane activity: TTC detour, September 9



From Friday, September 9 until Sunday, September 11, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Elizabeth Street between Gerrard Street East and Elm Street

to accommodate contractors who are lifting a crane at a construction site.

The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 13B Avenue Rd.

Since buses just operate along the 13B branch of the route Mondays to Fridays, the buses only detour September 9.


13B Avenue Rd

Friday, September 9, southbound buses operate along their regular route to University Avenue and Gerrard Street West, then detour:

eastward along Gerrard West;
southward along Bay Street; and then
westward along Elm Street to University,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Elm Street [eastbound] beyond University Avenue.

Northbound buses start their trips on Elm Street [westbound] east of University Avenue, then proceed:

northward along University Avenue to Gerrard Street West,
resuming their regular route northward along University.

eastward along Elm;
northward along Bay Street; and then
westward along Gerrard Street West to Elizabeth,
resuming their regular route westward along Gerrard West.

Buses pick up passengers at all stops.
