The Region of Durham is continuing its project to widen
- Westney Road North (Regional Road 31) from north of Taunton Road West to north of Telford Street
in the Town of Ajax.
Starting Monday, September 12, the work zone blocks access from Williamson Drive West to Westney North. Durham Region Transit is detouring buses along this route, while access is closed:
This phase of construction on Westney Road North and the resulting DRT detour continue until further notice.
Route 211C
Starting Monday, September 12, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Williamson Drive West at Bellinger Drive, then detour:
around the traffic circle at Williamson West / Bellinger, then proceeding:
westward along Williamson; and then
southward along Ravenscroft Road to Rossland Road West,
resuming their regular route westward along Rossland West.Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Williamson Drive West at Tozer Crescent [east],
- on Westney Road North beside #1328 Westney North, at Telford Street and Rossland Road West and
- on Rossland Road West beyond Westney Road North, at Carter - Bennett Drive and beyond Stevensgate Drive.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Williamson Drive West [eastbound] west of Bellinger Drive.
Eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Williamson Drive West at Bellinger Drive, then detour:
around the traffic circle at Williamson West / Bellinger, then proceeding:
westward along Williamson; and then
southward along Ravenscroft Road to Rossland Road West,
resuming their regular route southward along Ravenscroft.Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Williamson Drive West at Tozer Crescent [east],
- on Westney Road North beside #1328 Westney North, at Telford Street and Rossland Road West and
