GO Transit says its modifying some bus services this weekend, “As we anticipate heavy traffic caused by Rolling Loud and other events in [Toronto]”.
GO is modifying service along three routes. Buses along those routes would usually operate along the Gardiner Expressway to and from Union Station Bus Terminal.
16 Hamilton / Toronto express
Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11, buses start and end their trips in Aldershot GO Station. Connect with 01 Lakeshore West trains in Aldershot to travel to and from Union Station.
21 Milton / Toronto
31 Guelph / Georgetown / Toronto
Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11, buses start and end their trips in Port Credit GO Station. Connect with 01 Lakeshore West trains in Port Credit to travel to and from Union Station.
GO explains “There are several events [in] downtown [Toronto] and your route may be busier than normal. Additionally, this modified service may add 30 minutes to your trip, so please allow yourself some extra travel time.”
It advises PRESTO fare-card / contactless payment users to:
- Tap on and off the GO bus;
- Tap on and off the GO train;
- GO bus services have no defaults.
GO also warns “If you’re using contactless payment, only use one card or mobile wallet each time you tap for your entire trip. Avoid tapping your entire physical wallet as this can result in duplicate charges.”
