"Take Back the Night" event in downtown Hamilton affects GO and HSR service, September 15



SACHA (Sexual Assault Centre - Hamilton and Area) is organizing a ““Take Back the Night” event in downtown Hamilton Thursday, September 15 evening. The event is an opportunity “to actively build connections, assertively reclaim [your] right to safety and courageously stand up against sexual violence.” A march from Hamilton City Hall and back again will temporarily block parts of

  • Main Street West;
  • James Street South;
  • King Streets West; and
  • Hess Street South.

from about 8:15 until 10 p.m.

The event likely affects GO Transit service along these routes, but GO has not announced detours:

  • 16 Hamilton / Toronto express;
  • 18 Lakeshore West;
  • 40 Hamilton / Pearson / Richmond Hill;
  • 41 Hamilton / Pickering; and
