Aurora Remembrance Ceremony

A ceremony takes place at the Cenotaph in Memorial Park Sunday morning. A short parade along Yonge Street precedes the ceremony.

York Region Transit is detouring transit services during the event.

Viva blue

From 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Sunday, November 6, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Yonge and Edward Streets, then detour:

east- and northward along Edward;
eastward along Englehard Drive; and then
south- and westward along Industrial Parkway South to Yonge,
resuming their regular route southward along Yonge.

Southbound buses skip this vivastation:

  • Henderson.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

98 Yonge

From 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Sunday, November 6, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Yonge and Edward Streets, then detour:

east- and northward along Edward;

resuming their regular route southward along Yonge.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

Bramalea Parade and Service of Remembrance

The City of Brampton is closing

  • Central Park Drive, southbound lanes, between Hanover Road and Queen Street East and
  • Queen Street East, westbound lanes, between Central Park Drive and Laurelcrest Street / West Drive

Sunday morning to accommodate the memorial procession and ceremony for the Royal Canadian Legion’s Branch 609.

At 11:30 a.m., the parade leaves Chinguacousy Park, turns left (southbound) onto Central Park Drive to Queen Street (southbound), then turns right (westbound) onto Queen Street East. The parade continues along Queen East the Royal Canadian Legion Bramalea branch 609, just east of West Drive and Laurelcrest Street.

The event affects Brampton Transit services.

Bronte Remembrance Day Parade

The Town of Oakville is closing:

  • Lakeshore Road West between Bronte Road and Jones Street

Sunday morning to accommodate the Royal Canadian Legion’s General Chris Vokes, Bronte Branch 486 annual parade to commemorate Remembrance Day.

Oakville Transit is detouring buses while the street is closed.

14 / 14A Lakeshore West

From 10 a.m. until noon, Sunday, November 6, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Lakeshore Road West and Mississauga Street, then detour:

northward along Mississauga;
eastward along Rebecca Street;
southward along Bronte Road;
eastward along Sovereign Street; and then
southward along Nelson Street to Lakeshore West,
resuming their regular route eastward along Lakeshore.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Lakeshore Road West at West River Street and Bronte Road, beyond Jones Street and at Nelson Street.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • on Bronte Road across from Hixon and Sovereign Streets.

From 10 a.m. until noon, Sunday, November 6, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bronte Road and Sovereign Street, then detour:

eastward along Sovereign Street; and then
southward along Nelson Street to Lakeshore Road West,
resuming their regular route eastward along Lakeshore West.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Lakeshore Road West beyond Jones Street and at Nelson Street.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.

Hamilton


Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope

The City of Hamilton is closing

  • Beach Boulevard, Burlington-bound lanes, between Woodward Avenue / Van Wagner’s Beach Road and Eastport Drive,

and other streets Sunday morning to accommodate the event. Participants support several charities.

The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses while the marathon takes place.

11 Parkdale

From 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, Burlington-bound buses operate along their regular route to Eastport Drive and Beach Boulevard, then detour:

northwestward along Eastport; and then
southeastward along Beach Boulevard, dropping off or picking up passengers on both sides of the roadway, to Eastport,
resuming their regular route northwestward along Eastport.

Burlington-bound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Beach Boulevard beyond Van Wagner’s Beach Road, beside #203 Beach, at Fitch Avenue, across from Towers Drive, at Sierra Lane, across from Comet and Windermere avenues, at Locarno Avenue, beyond Third and Fourth avenues and at Pandora Avenue and Eastport Drive.

Hamilton-bound buses operate along their regular route.

Markham


Markham District Veterans’ Association Remembrance Parade

A short parade in the Markham village area takes place Saturday morning. The marchers leave the Association clubhouse at 7 Washington Street at 10:45 a.m., march along Washington, Centre and Main Streets to the Cenotaph at the southeast corner of Main Street Markham and Highway 7. They then march back to the clubhouse.

The event affects TTC service.

102D Markham Rd

From 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Main Street North Markham and Parkway Avenue / Bullock Drive, then detour:

eastward along Parkway;
southward along Wooten Way; and then
westward along Highway 7 to Main,
resuming their regular route southward along Main Street South.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Main Street Markham beyond Robinson Street and at Highway 7.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Parkway Avenue beyond Main Street North Markham, at Orchard Street, across from Paramount Road and Sir Bedevere Place, at Sir Galahad Place, across from and west of Sir Bodwin Place and at Wooten Way North,

Royal Winter Agricultural Fair

The 100th annual fair takes place in Exhibition Place from Tuesday, November 4 until Sunday, November 13.

The TTC is detouring buses to avoid delays as organizers set up and dismantle exhibits for the event — and during the event itself.

From Monday, October 31 until Monday, November 14, all buses start and end their trips in Dufferin Gate Loop.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Saskatchewan Road beyond Dufferin Street,
  • on Manitoba Drive at Quebec Street and Nova Scotia Avenue and
  • on Canada Drive at Princes’ Boulevard.

  • on Princes’ Boulevard across from Newfoundland Road,

eastward along King Street West;
south- and eastward along Douro Street;
southward along Strachan Avenue;
westward along Manitoba Drive;
southward along Canada Boulevard; and then
eastward into Princes’ Gate Loop,
ending their trips.

  • on Saskatchewan Road beyond Dufferin Street,
  • on Manitoba Drive at Quebec Street and Nova Scotia Avenue and
  • on Canada Drive at Princes’ Boulevard.
