GO Transit is cancelling train service along the 71 Stouffville line all day Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13.
Buses replace some of the trains.
Replacement buses operate between Union Station Bus Terminal and Unionville, Centennial, Markham, Mount Joy, Stouffville and Old Elm GO stations. Some buses operate express — with few stops — so be sure to check schedules before you travel. Replacement buses don’t operate to and from Kennedy, Agincourt and Milliken GO stations. Board TTC buses or trains to travel to and from Kennedy and Agincourt and TTC or York Region Transit to travel to and from Milliken.
While the tracks are closed Metrolinx is maintaining the tracks, while contractors continue a project to upgrade Kennedy Station.
Southbound:
- Replacement buses leave Old Elm at 7:25, 8:25 and 9:25 a.m. The buses drop off or pick up passengers in all stations to Unionville and then operate express to Union Station Bus Terminal.
- More buses leave Mount Joy hourly from 10:40 a.m. until 9:40 p.m.. They also drop off or pick up passengers in all stations to Unionville and then operate express to Union terminal.
Northbound:
- All GO buses start and end their trips in Union Station Bus Terminal.
- Buses will operate hourly express to Unionville GO Station, with some buses continuing to drop off or pick up passengers in all stations to Mount Joy GO Station. After 9 p.m., some buses continue northward beyond Mount Joy to Old Elm GO Station.
- Buses arrive at stations at different times than the usual trains. Be sure to check schedules for connection times.
- Some buses will run express between Union terminal and Unionville only. Check departure boards before proceeding to your bus.
