GO adding more express service, adjusting schedules, along several train lines, starting December 5



Starting Monday, December 5, GO Transit is resuming more express train trips along the 01 Lakeshore West and 31 Kitchener lines. It’s also adjusting the schedule along those two lines and the 21 Milton and 71 Stouffville lines.

GO explains:

“We’re bringing service back in phases and working to get you ready to ride once again. As we gradually add more trips, be sure to check schedules in advance and plan ahead. We’ll continue to pay close attention to travel patterns and do our best to keep service aligned with demand.”


31 Kitchener

Eastbound:

  • The train that usually starts in Kitchener at 5:30 a.m. starts, instead, at 5:14 a.m. It drops off or picks up passengers in all stations as much as 16 minutes earlier than usually. It ends in Union at 6:58 a.m.
  • The trains that usually start their trips in Kitchener VIA / GO Station at 6:45 and 7:15 a.m. leave, instead, at 6:38 and 7:08 a.m. They drop off or pick up passengers at all stations until Bramalea GO Station as much as seven minutes earlier than usually. Beyond Bramalea, the trains operate express, bypassing Malton, Etobicoke North, Weston and Bloor GO stations. They end in Union Station at 8:13 and 8:43 a.m.
  • GO is also operating two trains on new trips from Bramalea at 5:24 p.m. and 6:24 p.m. The trains bypass Etobicoke North and end their trips in Union at 5:58 and 6:58 p.m.

Westbound:

  • GO is operating trains on new trips from Union at 6:34, 7:34 and 8:04 a.m. The trains bypass Etobicoke North and end in Bramalea at 7:10, 8:10 and 8:40 a.m.
  • The train that usually starts in Union at 4:34 p.m. starts, instead, at 4:19 p.m. It operates express to Bramalea, bypassing Bloor, Weston, Etobicoke North and Malton. It ends in London VIA / GO station at 8:19 p.m.
  • The train that usually starts in Union at 5:04 p.m., starts, instead, at 4:49 p.m. It operates express to Bramalea, bypassing Bloor, Weston, Etobicoke North and Malton. It ends in Kitchener at 6:28 p.m.
  • The train that starts in Union at 5:49 p.m. now operates express to Bramalea, bypassing Bloor, Weston, Etobicoke North and Malton. It ends in Kitchener at 7:32 p.m.
  • GO is also operating a train on a new express trip. It starts in Union at 5:19 p.m., bypassing Bloor, Weston, Etobicoke North and Malton. It ends in Kitchener at 6:58 p.m.
  • The train that starts in Union at 4:04 p.m. now ends in Bramalea.

01 Lakeshore West

Eastbound:

  • The trains that usually start their trips in Hamilton GO Centre at 6:54 and 7:24 a.m. start, instead, at 6:51 and 7:51 a.m. They drop off or pick up passengers at all stations until Clarkson GO Station as much as three minutes earlier than usually. Beyond Clarkson, the trains operate express, bypassing Port Credit, Long Branch, Mimico and Exhibition GO stations, and arriving in Union Station at 8:02 and 8:30 a.m.
  • The train that usually starts in Niagara Falls VIA / GO Station at 5:57 a.m. starts, instead, at 6:41 a.m.. The train operates express to Union Station, bypassing St. Catharines, Port Credit, Long Branch, Mimico and Exhibition GO stations. It ends in Union at 9:04 a.m.

Westbound:

  • The trains that usually start in Union at 4:30 and 5 p.m. leave, instead, at 4:13 and 4:43 p.m. They operate express to Clarkson, bypassing Exhibition, Mimico, Long Branch and Port Credit GO stations. They end in Hamilton at 5:26 and 5:56 p.m.
  • The train that usually leaves Union at 5:30 p.m. leaves, instead, at 5:13 p.m. It operates express, bypassing Exhibition, Mimico, Long Branch, Port Credit and St. Catharines GO stations. It ends in Niagara Falls at 7:37 p.m.
  • Also, some trains start in Union as much as four minutes earlier than usually. Check schedules before you travel.

21 Milton

Starting Monday, December 5, GO is adjusting the schedules for trains along the line.

  • The westbound train that usually starts its trip in Union Station at 5:55 p.m. leaves, instead, at 6 p.m. It drops off or picks up passengers in all stations as much as five minutes later than usually, ending its trip in Milton GO Station at 7 p.m.

71 Stouffville

Starting Monday, December 5, GO is adjusting the schedules for trains along the line.

  • Some trains pause longer than usually in Kennedy GO Station to allow passengers extra time to board their trains during platform construction.
  • With the opening of the new west platform in Agincourt GO Station, trains no longer pause longer than usually in the station.
  • Some southbound trains also leave stations as much as two minutes earlier than usually.Check schedules before you travel.
