Update — Monday, January 16, 2:54 p.m.: According to @TTCnotices, the TTC is detouring buses along routes 53 and 953 as this post describes.
Starting January 2023 — perhaps as early as Tuesday, January 3 — Metrolinx construction blocks traffic lanes
- on Steeles Avenue East near Yonge Street,
affecting transit services in the area.
(Unofficially, the construction is likely part of the project to extend the TTC’s Line 1 Yonge - University subway northward to Richmond Hill — but we can find no announcement from Metrolinx or others confirming that.)
York Region Transit has announced that it is “intermittently” detouring buses along this route during the construction:
- 91 Bayview.
