Heathrow Drive Downsview construction: TTC detour, starting January 30

Starting Monday, January 23, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Heathrow Drive between Jane Street and Forthbridge Crescent / Chesham Drive

to accommodate a project to modify and upgrade the water main and water services and reduce surface basement flooding.

Crews are:

  • excavating the road and digging a trench to access and install the new sewers;
  • replacing City-owned water service pipes that do not meet City standards from the sewer and water mains to private-property lines; and
  • restoring all work areas with asphalt, concrete or grass when they’ve finished working underground.

The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 120 Calvington.
