Hurontario LRT - Cooksville: Construction blocks access to Hillcrest Avenue, MiWay detouring buses, starting February 2

Metrolinx and its contractors continue construction of the Hurontario light rail transit line in Mississauga and Brampton.


Starting Tuesday, January 17, the work zone for the LRT construction project* blocks access to John Street west of Hurontario Street*.

GO Transit passengers can access Cooksville GO Station from Hillcrest Avenue.

Starting Thursday, February 2, MiWay is detouring buses along this route:

  • 53 Kennedy.

Construction continues to block Hillcrest Avenue at Hurontario — and MiWay continues to detour buses — until February 7.

Southbound buses operate along their regular path.

From Thursday, February 2 until Tuesday, February 7, northbound buses operate along their regular path to Cooksville GO Station access road and John Street, then detour:

eastward along John to Hurontario Street,
resuming their regular path northward along Hurontario.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Hurontario Street at John Street.
