Kipling / Lake Shore construction: TTC detour, February 17



Thursday, February 16 and Friday, February 17, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Kipling Avenue between Birmingham Street and Lake Shore Boulevard West,

to accommodate a project to rehabilitate the sewers.

The TTC is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 44 Kipling South; and
  • 944 Kipling South express.

Thursday, February 16 and Friday, February 17, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Kipling Avenue and Birmingham Street, then detour:

westward along Birmingham;
southward along Twentieth Street; and then
eastward along Lake Shore Boulevard West to Kipling Avenue / Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive,
resuming their regular path southward along Colonel Samuel Smith Park.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Kipling Avenue at Lake Shore Boulevard West.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Lake Shore Boulevard West at Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive.

Northbound buses operate along their regular path to Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive and Lake Shore Boulevard West, then detour:

eastward along Lake Shore West;
northward along Seventeenth Street; and then
westward along Birmingham Street to Kipling Avenue,
resuming their regular path northward along Kipling.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Kipling Avenue at Birmingham Street.
