The project includes:

  • removing and replacing street lights;
  • installing asphalt cycle tracks and multiuse paths;
  • repairing sidewalks repairs;
  • paving and rehabilitating the roadway and pavement; and
  • restoring areas which the construction process disturbed.

The work zone may temporarily disrupt MiWay access to bus stops along these routes:

  • 7 Airport;
  • 39 Britannia;
  • 43 Matheson - Argentia; and
  • 74 Explorer.

(Updated — Thursday, July 20, 8:09 p.m.) Northbound buses along the 7 Airport route, eastbound buses along the 39 Britannia and 43 Matheson - Argentia routes skip the eastbound stop at Explorer Drive. Board or exit from buses at the previous stop across fromShuttle Drive, 310 metres westward, or the next stop on Commerce Boulevard south of Matheson East, 505 metres eastward.

MiWay will relocate bus stops to a temporary nearby location. Passengers should expect delays.

Construction on Matheson Boulevard and the resulting MiWay service changes continue until November 30.
