The City of Toronto is closing
- Chesswood Drive, northbound lanes, between Steeprock Drive and Finch Avenue West
to accommodate a project to install a water main and resurface the roadway.
Starting Monday, April 24, the TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 107 York University Heights.
Construction on Chesswood Drive and the resulting TTC detour continue until November 30.
The City started the project and the TTC detoured buses Monday, November 7, 2022.

From Monday, April 24 until Monday, November 30, buses operate along their regular path to Whitehorse Road and Steeprock Drive, then detour:
eastward along Steeprock;
northward along Dufferin Street; and then
westward along the Finch Avenue West to Champagne Drive / Alness Street,
resuming their regular path northward along Alness.Buses skip their regular stops
- on Steeprock Drive at Chesswood Drive,
- on Chesswood Drive beside #4069 Chesswood, at Vanley Crescent [south], beside #4375 Chesswood and at Vanley Crescent [north] and Champagne Drive and
- on Champagne Drive at Finch Avenue West.
Instead, buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Dufferin Street at Stanstead Drive and across from #4400 Dufferin and
- on Finch Avenue West at Alness Street.
