Highway 401 / Markham Road Scarborough construction: TTC detour, overnight, May 13, 14



From 10 p.m. Saturday, May 13 until 10 a.m. Sunday, May 14, the City Toronto is closing

  • Markham Road at Highway 401

to accommodate Ontario Ministry of Transportation contractors who are removing part of the highway’s bridge deck over Markham Road.

The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 102 Markham Rd.

From 10 p.m. Saturday, May 13 until 10 a.m. Sunday, May 14, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Markham Road and Milner Avenue, then detour:

eastward along Milner; and then
south- and westward along Progress Avenue to Markham,
resuming their regular path southward along Markham.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Markham Road at Milner Avenue.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Progress Avenue beyond Milner Business Court and across from the roadway into Centennial College’s Progress campus.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Markham Road at Milner Avenue.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Progress Avenue at the roadway into Centennial College’s Progress campus and Milner Business Court.
  • on Milner Avenue at Markham Road.
