The TTC is closing Line 2 Bloor - Danforth subway between Kipling and Keele stations earlier than usually Tuesday, May 23 until Thursday, May 25. Line 2 subway trains operate only between Keele and Kennedy stations after 11 p.m. those evenings.
Shuttle buses partially replace subway service. The buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops near each station on the closed section of the line. TTC staff are available in each to station to direct you to the shuttle-bus boarding and offloading locations.
Most stations on this section of Line 2 remain open, so you can buy fares or connect to TTC, GO Transit and MiWay buses or GO trains. However, Old Mill Station is closed. Note also that the TTC is closing the Grenview Boulevard entrance / exit at Royal York Station. And, at High Park Station, the TTC is closing the entrances / exits on Bloor Street West and Parkview Gardens. All other exits / entrances remain open.
Although shuttle buses are accessible, Wheel-Trans is also available at all stations on the closed section of the line. Ask TTC staff in each station for information about Wheel-Trans service from that station.
While this section of Line 1 is closed, TTC crews are maintaining the tracks.
According to a TTC news release, “While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and… signal upgrades.”
The TTC is closing this section of Line 2 once more in May:
- Monday, May 29 until Thursday, June 1 — Kipling to Keele — close early — track work.
