From 2 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, the City of Toronto is closing
- the Don Valley Parkway between Highway 401 and the Frederick G. Gardiner Expressway and
- the Frederick G. Gardiner Expressway between Carlaw Avenue and the Humber River
to accommodate the annual fund-raising marathon, allowing cyclists and in-line skaters to ride down the Parkway and support the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
Exhibition Place is also closing some streets to accommodate start- and finish-line activities and end-of-race celebrations.
The event affects GO Transit and TTC services.
GO Transit
As traffic conditions can change at any time, GO has not pre-arranged bus detours until about 9 a.m. Before then, bus drivers will use different detours around the city, depending on the current traffic conditions, but GO also wants to make sure that passengers arrive at their destinations safely and on time.
