The Pride festival in downtown Toronto dominates the list of events affecting transit services this weekend.

However, other events in Brampton, Hamilton, Markham, Milton and central Toronto also take place this weekend, resulting in detours or delays for transit services.

Brampton Farmers Market

Saturday mornings and early afternoons until October 7, the City of Brampton is closing

Canadian Football League game
All Hamilton Street Railway routes

You can ride any HSR bus free of fare to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats game against the Montreal Alouettes, Friday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. — if you hold a valid ticket to the game.

With the HSR’s Ticket to Ride program, you can ride free of fare to Tim Horton’s Field for as much as two hours before game time and free of fare from the stadium until the end of service. Just show your game ticket to the bus operating and that’s your ticket to ride.

Tiger-Cats Express shuttles

From about 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 23, free HSR shuttle buses also speedily transport ticket-holders from three terminals across the city to the stadium. After the game is over, they’ll shuttle you back again. You can view the schedule for Thursday’s shuttle service here

Fiesta Extravaganza

Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, the TTC is closing the main parking lot for Wilson Station at 50 Wilson Heights Boulevard to accommodate the Filipino heritage festival. The TTC will reopen the parking lot Monday, June 26 at 5 a.m.

The event doesn’t block roadway or affect bus service. The entrance to Wilson Station off the parking lot will stay open.

The Wilson Station Transit Road Lot at 25 Transit Road remains open for you to park during the closure of the main lot. You can access the Transit Road lot from the north side of Wilson Avenue, just west of Allen Road. The entrance is on the east side of Transit Road.

TD Toronto Jazz Festival

The City of Toronto is closing

  • Bloor Street West between Avenue Road / Queen’s Park and St. Thomas Street

and other streets in the Yorkville area Friday, Saturday and Sunday and before 5 a.m. Monday to accommodate the event.

The TTC is detouring buses while the street is closed.

The TTC has not confirmed detour-routing information. We’ve based this section of the post on information it provided about detours during this event during previous years.

From Friday, June 23 until 5 a.m. Monday, June 26, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Avenue Road and Bloor Street West, then detour:

westward along Bloor West;
northward along St. George Street;
eastward along Prince Arthur Avenue; and then
southward into St. George Station bus terminal,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Queen’s Park across from Charles Street West (beside Museum Station),
  • on Queen’s Park Crescent West at Trinity College, Hart House and the University of Toronto Library and
  • on Queen’s Park Crescent East north of College Street.

Northbound buses start their trips at St. George Station, then proceed:

southward along Bedford Road; and then
eastward along Bloor Street West to Queen’s Park / Avenue Road,
resuming their regular path northward along Avenue Road.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Queen’s Park Crescent East north of College Street, at Wellesley Street West and north of St. Joseph Street and
  • on Queen’s Park north of Charles Street West (beside Museum Station).

300 Bloor - Danforth overnight

The TTC has not confirmed detour-routing information. We’ve based this section of the post on information it provided about detours during this event during previous years.

From Saturday, June 24 until Monday, June 24, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Bloor Street West and Avenue Road / Queen’s Park, then detour:

northward along Avenue;
southeastward along Davenport Road; and then
southward along Bay Street to Bloor West,
resuming their regular path eastward along Bloor.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bloor Street West at Queen’s Park and Bay Street.

Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.

Westbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Bloor Street West at Avenue Road.

Inbound buses operate toward downtown.
Outbound buses operate away from downtown.
