When this project proceeds, the TTC will temporarily remove the overhead streetcar wiring system to ensure the safety of workers. That’s why the TTC has temporarily cancelled streetcar service through the bridge area since Sunday, May 7. However, the project isn’t proceeding for now, so starting Wednesday, July 4, it’s resuming streetcar service along this route west of Lansdowne Avenue:

  • 512 St Clair.

To replace the streetcars, TTC extended the path for buses along this route:

  • 47 Lansdowne.

Buses serving the 47A branch of the route continue to temporarily operate along St. Clair West between Gunns Loop (west of Keele Street) and Lansdowne, supplementing streetcar service.

Buses along the 47B and 47C (via Caledonia) branches of the route continue to operate along their usual paths north of St. Clair.

47 Lansdowne

Starting Sunday, May 7, southbound buses start their trips in Gunns Loop, then proceed:

eastward along St. Clair Avenue West to Earlscourt Loop,
resuming their regular path eastward along St. Clair West.

  • in Earlscourt Loop.

  • in Gunns Loop and
  • on St. Clair Avenue West at Keele Street, Old Weston Road, Hounslow Heath Road and Laughton Avenue and beyond Caledonia Park Road.
