Starting 7 a.m. Monday, July 24, the City of Richmond Hill is closing traffic lanes on
- William F. Bell Parkway at the Richmond Green access road
to accommodate a project to install new municipal services and rebuild the roadway for a new subdivision on the north side of William F. Bell Parkway.
The work zone blocks motorists travelling westbound along William Bell from turning left (southbound) onto the access road.
York Region Transit is detouring buses along these routes, while the traffic lanes are closed:
Construction on William F. Bell Parkway and the resulting YRT detours continue until September 1.

From 7 a.m. Monday, July 24 until 7 p.m. Friday, September 1, southbound buses start their trips on John Birchall Road east of Leslie Street, then proceed:
along their regular path southward along Leslie.
Southbound buses skip their regular stops
- beside Richmond Green High School.
Northbound buses operate along their regular path to Leslie Street and Elgin Mills Road East, then detour:
eastward along Elgin Mills East; and then
north- and westward along John Birchall to Leslie,
