Brampton Farmers Market

Saturday mornings and early afternoons until October 7, the City of Brampton is closing

  • Wellington Street West between George and Main Streets South

to accommodate the city’s weekly farmers market.

GO Transit is likely detouring service while the street is closed, but has not announced detour routings.

33 Guelph / Georgetown / North York

Until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, eastbound buses likely operate along their regular path to Downtown Brampton Terminal, then detour:

eastward along Nelson Street West; and then
southward along Main Streets North and South to Wellington Street,
resuming their regular path southward along Main South.

Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at all stops.

to accommodate the Milton Chamber of Commerce’s weekly market.

Milton Transit is detouring buses while the street is closed.

Until noon Saturday, July 29, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Main Street East and James Street, then detour:

northward along James; and then
eastward along Mill Street to Martin Street,
resuming their regular path northward along Martin.

Westbound buses operate along their regular path.

northward along James;

northward along Martin Street; and then

Toronto


Toronto events affecting transit services this weekend include: the Beaches International Jazz Festival (July 27, 28 and 29); and the Festival of South Asia (July 29 and 30).


Beaches International Jazz Festival

The City of Toronto is closing

  • Queen Street East between Woodbine and Beech Avenues

Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings to accommodate the Streetfest portion of the annual festival. It will also restrict turns from Wineva and Lee Avenues onto Queen East.

The TTC is detouring services during the event.

64 Main

From 6 until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, July 27, Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Wineva Avenue and Queen Street East, then detour:

southward along Wineva; and then
westward along Alfresco Lawn to Lee Avenue,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses continue to serve all stops.

Northbound buses start their trips at Alfresco Lawn and Lee Avenue, then proceed:

northward along Lee; and then
eastward along Williamson Road to Southwood Drive,
resuming their regular path northward along Southwood.

From 6 until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, July 27, Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29, streetcars start and end their trips in Woodbine Loop on the northeast corner of Kingston Road and Queen Street East.

The TTC isn’t operating any transit service along Queen East between Neville Park Boulevard and Eastern Avenue / Kingston Road.

  • in Neville Park Loop and
  • on Queen Street East at Neville Park Boulevard, Beech and Silver Birch avenues, Glen Manor Drive, Wineva, Bellefair, Elmer and Woodbine Avenues and Lockwood Road.

TD Festival of South Asia

The City of Toronto is closing

  • Gerrard Street East between Coxwell and Glenside Avenues

all day Saturday and Sunday to accommodate the annual street festival.

The TTC is detouring streetcars and buses during the event.

506 Carlton

From 6 a.m. Saturday, July 29 until 2 a.m. Monday, July 31, westbound cars start their trips in Woodbine Loop on the northeast corner of Kingston Road and Queen Street East, then proceed:

eastward along Queen Street East; and then
northward along Broadview Avenue to Gerrard Street East,
resuming their regular path eastward along Gerrard East.

Westbound cars skip their regular stops

  • in Main Street Station terminal,
  • on Main Street at Gerrard Street East,
  • on [upper] Gerrard Street East at Norwood Road, across from Glenmount Park Road, at Golfview and Woodbine Avenues, across from Kingsmount Park and Bowmore roads and Beaton Avenue and at Coxwell Avenue,
  • on Coxwell Avenue at [lower] Gerrard Street East and
  • on [lower] Gerrard Street East at Ashdale Avenue, Woodfield Road, Greenwood and Prust avenues, Leslie Street, Jones, Marjory, Pape, Carlaw and Logan avenues, across from De Grassi Street and at Broadview Avenue.

Instead, westbound cars drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • in Woodbine Loop,
  • on Queen Street East at Kingston Road, Coxwell Avenue, Woodfield Road, Greenwood and Alton avenues, Leslie Street, Jones, Brooklyn, Pape, Carlaw and Logan avenues, beyond Booth Avenue and at Boulton and Broadview avenues and
  • on Broadview Avenue at Dundas Street East, across from Mountstephen Street and at Gerrard Street East.

Shuttle buses replace the cars east of Broadview Avenue.

  • on [upper] Gerrard Street East at Beaton Avenue, Bowmore and Kingsmount Park roads, Woodbine and Golfview avenues, Glenmount Park and Norwood roads and Main Street,
  • on Main Street at Danforth Avenue and
  • in Main Street Station terminal.

Instead, eastbound cars drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Broadview Avenue at Mountstephen Street and Dundas and Queen streets east and
  • on Queen Street East at Saulter Street, Empire, Logan, Carlaw, Pape and Caroline avenues, across from Jones Avenue, at Leslie Street, across from Alton and Greenwood avenues, at Woodfield Road and Coxwell and Eastern avenues and
  • in Woodbine Loop.

Shuttle buses replace the cars east of Broadview Avenue. Eastbound streetcar passengers may transfer to eastbound buses on Gerrard Street East at Broadview Avenue.
