The TTC has announced that it is shortening the path for streetcars along this route “due to infrastructure inspection” from 12:01 until 4 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, Thursday, August 3 and Friday, August 4:
- 511 Bathurst.
Shuttle buses replace the cars south of Queen Street West.
(The TTC has not detailed what infrastructure the officials are inspecting nor where precisely along the 511 Bathurst route they are working. Nor has it explained which agency is inspecting the assets — whether it’s the TTC itself, the City of Toronto, Toronto Hydro or another service.)

We’ve based this section of the post on information the TTC has supplied about detours off this section of Bathurst during previous incidents that blocked the tracks. Note that this is unofficial information. The TTC may operate with a different service pattern this time.)
After 12:01 a.m. and before 4 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, Thursday, August 3 and Friday, August 4, southbound streetcars operate along their regular path to Bathurst Street and Queen Street West, then detour:
eastward along Queen West;
southward along Spadina Avenue;
eastward along Adelaide Street East; and then
southward along Charlotte Street to Oxley Street,
ending their trips.Southbound cars skip their regular stops
- on Bathurst Street at King Street West, Niagara Street and Fort York Boulevard,
- on Fleet Street beyond Bathurst and Bastion streets and Fort York Boulevard,
- on Manitoba Drive beyond Strachan Avenue and
- in Exhibition Loop.
Instead, southbound cars drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Queen Street West at Augusta and Spadina avenues,
- on Spadina Avenue beyond Queen Street West and
- on Charlotte Street at Oxley Street.

Northbound cars start their trips on Charlotte Street north of Oxley Street, then proceed:
southward along Charlotte;
westward along King Street West;
northward along Spadina Avenue; and then
westward along Queen Street West to Bathurst Street,
resuming their regular path northward along Bathurst.Northbound cars skip their regular stops

After 12:01 a.m. and before 4 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, Thursday, August 3 and Friday, August 4, buses replace streetcars along the 511 Bathurst route south of Queen Street West.
Southbound buses start their trips in Wolseley Loop (on the east side of Bathurst, just north of Queen West), then proceed:
southward along Bathurst,
westward along Lake Shore Boulevard West;
northward along Fort York Boulevard; and then
westward along Fleet Street, Manitoba Drive and the Exhibition Loop access road into Exhibition Loop,
ending their trips.Southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops
- in Wolseley Loop,
- on Bathurst Street at Queen and King streets west, Niagara Street and Fort York Boulevard,
- on Fleet Street beyond Fort York Boulevard,

511 Bathurst streetcars will operate between Bathurst Station and Queen Street.
511 Bathurst replacement buses will operate both ways between Bathurst Street and Wolseley Street to Exhibition Loop, via Bathurst Street, Lake Shore Boulevard, Fort York Boulevard, Fleet Street and Manitoba Drive, to Exhibition Loop.

Southbound buses: board on Bathurst Street, north of Queen Street. Northbound streetcars: board on Queen Street, east of Bathurst Street.
