Lots of Greek cuisine and other culinary treats, a community festivals and farmers’ markets: special events in the Acton area of Halton Hills, Brampton, Hamilton; the Humber Bay Shores area of Toronto, Milton, Richmond Hill and central Toronto affect transit services this weekend.

The Friday, August 11 events affecting transit services are: Art Crawl; the Humber Bay Shores Waterfront Festival; and The Taste of the Danforth.

The Saturday, August 12 events affecting transit services are: the Brampton Farmers Market; the Humber Bay Shores Waterfront Festival; the Milton Farmers Market; the Richmond Hill BIA’s 150th Anniversary Celebration Party and Sidewalk Sale; and The Taste of the Danforth.

Acton Leathertown Festival

The Region of Halton and the Town of Halton Hills are closing

  • Mill Street East between Main Street and Eastern Avenue

Sunday morning, afternoon and early evening to accommodate the annual street festival.

GO Transit has not announced detour-routing information, but is likely detouring buses.

31A Guelph / Georgetown / Toronto

From7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, August 13, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Main and Mill Streets, then detour:

Until 2 p.m. Saturday, August 12, eastbound buses likely operate along their regular route to Downtown Brampton Terminal, then detour:

eastward along Nelson Street West; and then
