Update — Monday, October 16, 2023, 8:03 a.m.: Also due to construction resulting from the basement flood-protection program in the area, the City closes part of Roywood Drive and the TTC again detours the buses, starting Monday, October 16.

Starting Tuesday, September 5, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Roywood Drive between Fortrose Crescent [east] and Fenside Drive

during a project to modify and upgrade the storm- and sanitary-sewer system and reduce surface basement flooding.

Crews are:

  • excavating the road and digging a trench to access and install the new sewers;
  • replacing City-owned water service pipes that do not meet City standards from the sewer and water mains to private-property lines; and
  • restoring all work areas with asphalt, concrete or grass when they’ve finished working underground.

The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 122 Graydon Hall.

northward along Fenside Drive to Roywood Drive,
resuming their regular path westward along Fenside.

Westbound buses skip their regular stop

Instead, westbound buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on York Mills Road at Fenside Drive.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Lynedoch Crescent and Ness Drive, then detour:

southward along Ness to York Mills Road,
ending their trips.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Lynedoch Crescent at Roywood Drive and
