The TTC is closing part of Line 2 Bloor - Danforth subway between Kennedy and Warden stations after 11 p.m. Friday, September 15 and all day Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17. Line 2 trains operate only between Warden and Kipling stations this weekend.
Frequent shuttle buses partly replace the trains, stopping in both subway-station bus terminals. Shuttle buses extend to Scarborough Centre Station. You don’t have to transfer from the Line-2 shuttle bus to a bus along the 903 Kennedy - Scarborough Centre route. Remain on the bus.
While this section of Line 2 is closed, the TTC is maintaining the tracks. All stations remain open so you can pay fares or connect with TTC buses and streetcars or GO Transit trains.
Since Warden Station is not yet an accessible station, if you’re travelling eastbound along Line 2 and need an accessible connection, exit the train at Victoria Park Station and ask a TTC customer service employee for help or directions.
According to a TTC news release, “While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.”
