GO Transit recently introduced a new late Monday-to-Friday evening train westbound along the 31 Kitchener line..
The train starts its trip in Union Station at 11:34 p.m., and drops off or picks up passengers in all stations to Mount Pleasant GO Station. It ends its trip in Mount Pleasant at 12:23 a.m. The train is 12 cars long and provides passengers with more space, including space for bikes.
With the new train service operating, GO is cancelling westbound buses along the 31 Guelph / Georgetown / Toronto route. Starting Monday, September 22, these buses that usually started in Union Station Bus Terminal Monday-to-Friday evenings no longer operate:
- 31F branch: at 11:21 and 11:41 p.m. and 12:11 a.m. (The buses usually ended their trips in Georgetown GO Station bus terminal at 12:41, 1:11 and 1:31 a.m.); and
- 31L branch: at 11:11 and 11:31 p.m. and 12:11 a.m. (The buses usually ended their trips in Bramalea GO Station terminal at 11:51 p.m. and 12:11 a.m.).
Starting Monday, September 22, the westbound bus operating along the 31F branch that usually started in Union at 12:01 a.m. now starts at 12:11 a.m. It ends in Georgetown at 1:31 a.m.
GO is also operating a bus on a new trip along the 31K branch of the route. It leaves Union at 12:21 a.m. then operates express — without stopping — to Steeles Avenue East and Rutherford Road South in Brampton. It drops off or picks up passengers at all local stops before ending its trip in Mount Pleasant GO Station bus terminal at 1:26 a.m.
GO is cancelling a bus along the 33A branch of the 33 **Guelph / Georgetown / North York route that usually leaves York Mills GO Bus Terminal at 11:30 p.m. (The bus usually ended its trip in Downtown Brampton Bus Terminal [beside Brampton GO Station] at 12:20 a.m. Instead, it operates a bus on a new trip along the 31E branch of the route. It still starts in York Mills at 11:30 p.m., but ends its trip in Georgetown at 12:55 a.m.

In other news, the westbound bus along the 15 Brantford / Burlington route that usually leaves Aldershot GO Station bus terminal at 8:30 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, at 8:34 a.m. It drops off or picks up passengers at stops as much as four minutes later than usually. It ends its trip in Brantford Bus Terminal at 9:29 a.m.
By adjusting the schedule, GO improves service for passengers connecting with the bus at Aldershot from a westbound GO train along the 01 Lakeshore West line.
