The TTC is key in getting around town during the all-night arts and entertainment festival, this weekend, Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24.
The City of Toronto is closing
- Bay Street between Dundas and Front Streets West from 5 a.m. Saturday until 11:59 p.m. Sunday;
- Queen Street West between York and Bay streets from 9 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Sunday;
and various other streets in downtown Toronto and near the Humber College’s Lakeshore campus and the Scarborough Civic Centre Friday, Saturday and Sunday to accommodate the festival.
The TTC operates subway and rapid transit trains all night along the entire length of its two main subway lines. Even though the subways operate all night, the TTC is also maintaining regular service along its Blue Night Network of overnight bus and streetcar routes. However, unlike most nights, overnight transit vehicles stop to drop off or pick up passengers in rapid transit station terminals. And, the TTC is detouring service downtown near City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square.
