Starting Monday, September 25, the cities of Brampton and Mississauga are closing:
- Goreway Drive between Kenview Boulevard in Brampton and Brandon Gate Drive in Mississauga
to accommodate a joint project with the Canadian National Railway to build an overpass to carry traffic on Goreway across CN’s Halton subdivision tracks.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 5 Bovaird.
(*Updated — Friday, September 27, 2024) Construction on Goreway Drive and the resulting Brampton Transit detour continue “for approximately 12-months”, meaning as late as until September 30, 2024 until further notice.

Note that only buses along the main branch of the route are detouring. Buses along the 5A “via Airport Rd” branch continue to operate along their regular path.

Monday, September 30, 2024further notice, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Goreway Drive and Kenview Boulevard, then detour:eastward along Kenview;
southward along Finch Avenue;
east- and southward along Darcel Avenue; and then
westward along Morning Star Drive,
resuming their regular path southward into Westwood Square terminal.Southbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Goreway Drive across from Kenview Boulevard, at Brandon Gate Drive and beside #s 7560 and 7500 Goreway.
Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop
on Kenview Boulevard beyond Goreway Drive.
Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.
Northbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Goreway Drive beside #s 7475 and 7555 Goreway and at Brandon Gate Drive and Kenview Boulevard.
Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Kenview Boulevard at Goreway Drive.
