Henrietta Street construction: TTC detours continue, September 25



Update — Thursday, October 19, 4:37 p.m.: The City is again closing the roadway and the TTC is detouring buses due to roadway resurfacing, starting Friday, October 20.


Starting Monday, September 25, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Henrietta Street between Castleton Avenue and east of Oscar Romero Place

to accommodate a City of Toronto project (.pdf) to repave the roadway.

The TTC is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 71 Runnymede; and
  • 79 Scarlett Rd.

Construction on Henrietta Street and the resulting TTC detours continue until October 13.

The TTC has been detouring buses off Henrietta Street “due to Toronto Water construction” since Wednesday, June 28.


71 Runnymede

From Wednesday, June 28 until Friday, October 13, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Castleton Avenue and Henrietta Street, then detour:

southward along Castleton; and then
eastward along St. Clair Avenue West to Runnymede Road,
resuming their regular path southward along Runnymede.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Henrietta Street at Runnymede Road.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stop

  • on St. Clair Avenue West at Runnymede Road.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Runnymede Road at St. Clair Avenue West and Henrietta Street and
  • on Henrietta Street at Castleton Avenue.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on St. Clair Avenue West beyond Runnymede Road.

79A Scarlett Rd via Pritchard / Foxwell

From Wednesday, June 28 until Friday, October 13, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Castleton Avenue and Henrietta Street, then detour:

southward along Castleton; and then
eastward along St. Clair Avenue West to Runnymede Road,
resuming their regular path southward along Runnymede.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Henrietta Street at Runnymede Road.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stop
