Update — Friday, November 10, 3:36 p.m.: The City is again closing the street so that Metrolinx contractors can restore the roadway after LRT construction from 7 p.m. Friday, November 10 until 7 p.m. Sunday, November 12. The TTC is again detouring buses.
Metrolinx contractors continue building the Finch West light rail transit line between Humber College and Finch West subway station in the Etobicoke and North York areas of Toronto.
According to a news release, the TTC is detouring buses along these routes from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, November 4:
The TTC says the detour results from LRT construction avenues, near the site of the future Mount Olive and Rowntree Mills LRT stops.
As part of the LRT project, crews are restoring the roadway.

From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, November 4, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Finch Avenue West and Kipling Avenue, then detour:
southward along Kipling;
southeastward along Albion Road; and then
northward along Islington Avenue to Finch West,
resuming their regular path eastward along Finch.Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Albion Road at Sanagan Road, across from Todd Brook Drive and beside #1155 Albion and
- on Islington Avenue at Barkwin Drive, across from Kingsmoor Gate and Beaumonde Heights Drive and at Albion Road.
Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.
Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Finch Avenue West beyond Islington Avenue and at the walkway to Farr Avenue.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Islington Avenue beyond Beaumonde Heights Drive and Kingsmoor Gate and at Albion Road and
- on Albion Road beside #1180 Albion, at Todd Brooke Drive, beyond Beaumonde Heights Park and at Benstrow and Kipling avenues and
- on Kipling Avenue beyond Albion Road and at Finch Avenue West.
