Brampton Transit is operating free shuttle buses for passengers travelling to and from Sesquicentennial Park to celebrate Diwali during the City of Brampton’s first-ever community Diwali Mela.
Buses operate to the park every 30 minutes, 3:30 until 8:30 p.m., from:
- Mount Pleasant GO Station - 1600 Bovaird Drive West;
- Sheridan College’s Davis Campus - 8870 McLaughlin Drive South;
- Gore Meadows Community Centre - 10150 The Gore Road; and
- Save Max Sports Centre - 1495 Sandalwood Parkway East.
Shuttle buses leave the park at the end of the event to return you to the four sites. You can exit or board shuttle buses on Countryside Drive at the south entrance to the park.
Due to the scale of the event, the City is closing:
- Countryside Drive between Bramalea Road and Sunny Meadow Boulevard from 2 until 11:55 p.m.; and
- Countryside Drive between Sunny Meadow Boulevard and Moldvan Drive (westbound lanes only) from 2 until 11:55 p.m.
Although Brampton Transit has not announced service changes, passengers aboard buses along these routes can expect detours or delays:
- 12 Grenoble; and
- 14 Torbram.
