Since Wednesday, October 30, 2019, the City of Toronto has closed
- Commissioners Street between Saulter and Cherry streets and
- Don Roadway between Villiers and Commissioners streets
to accommodate Waterfront Toronto’s ongoing project to build a new watercourse for the Don River — part of a major flood-control program.
Starting Wednesday, January 24, the City and Waterfront Toronto are reopening Commissioners and opening a new roadway for Cherry Street to traffic. The TTC’s detour for buses along this route ends:
- 72 Pape.
That day, it’s also revising the paths for the buses along the 72B (Pape Stn - Union Stn via Commissioners and Queens Quay) and 72C (Pape Stn - Commissioners) branches of the route.
The new service pattern continues until March 31, when the TTC will likely make further changes to service in the area.
