GO revising train service along Lakeshore West line, May 11, 12



Metrolinx continues building a grade separation (overpass) at Burloak Drive as part of the GO Expansion Program.


GO Transit is revising service along the 01 Lakeshore West line this weekend, Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 to accommodate the Burloak construction. Trains operate with regular schedules between Oakville GO Station and Union Station, but only operate hourly between West Harbour and Oakville GO stations.

The schedule change also affects passengers connecting with GO buses at some GO stations.

12 Niagara Falls / Burlington
  • Westbound:
  • Buses operate with regular schedules.
  • Eastbound:
  • If you’re aboard most buses that arrive in Burlington GO Station, you’ll have to wait 45 minutes to connect to the train. You’ll arrive in Union Station 30 minutes later than usually.
  • If you’re aboard the last two buses arriving in Burlington at 10:56 and 11:26 p.m., you won’t have to wait to connect with trains.
15 Brantford / Burlington
  • Westbound:
  • Buses operate with regular schedules.
  • Eastbound:
  • If you’re aboard the last bus arriving in Aldershot GO Station bus terminal at 10:49 p.m. you’ll have to wait 46 minutes to connect to the train. You’ll arrive in Union Station 30 minutes later than usually.
18 Lakeshore West
  • Hamilton-bound:
  • You’ll have to wait 38 to 40 minutes to connect with buses in Aldershot.
  • Burlington-bound
  • If you’re aboard the first bus arriving in Aldershot at 7:49 a.m., you’ll have to wait 31 minutes to connect with trains.
  • If you’re aboard all other buses arriving in Aldershot, except the last bus of the day, you’ll have to wait 46 minutes to connect to the train. You’ll arrive in Union Station 30 minutes later than usually.

GO is also revising service along the 01 Lakeshore West line to accommodate the Burloak construction:

  • Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19;
  • Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26;
  • Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2; and
  • Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.

Metrolinx and GO plan to accommodate more passengers and increase service along the Lakeshore West line, as part of their GO Expansion Program (formerly “regional express rail”).
