Update — Thursday, December 12, 4:47 p.m.: Buses resume dropping off passengers in the station terminal starting Sunday, December 9. The TTC expects to restore full bus service to the terminal, starting Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Update — Canada Day, Monday, July 1, 5:25 p.m.: Construction starts Monday, July 15.
As part of its state-of-good-repair program, starting mid-July, the TTC intends to improve the Jane Station bus loop by installing new concrete to replace sections of damaged asphalt. The transit agency explains that “The work is required to preserve the structure of the bus loop.”
During construction, it’s diverting buses along all routes that would usually enter the terminal to nearby subway stations, dropping off or picking up passengers on the street near Jane Station.
To prepare for the construction, starting Sunday, June 23, it’s revising service along these routes:

WheelTrans vehicles continue to drop off or pick up passengers at their usual stop beside the Armadale Avenue entrance at Jane Station.
Some of the buses that would usually operate to and from Jane Station temporarily start and end their trips in Runnymede Station, affecting service along these routes:
If you’re transferring from an on-street bus to the station, you must tap the PRESTO fare-card reader at the fare gate using the same PRESTO, debit or credit card you tapped on the bus. This will register your free transfer within the two-hour period. If you’re paying by cash, TTC ticket or token, you must show the collector your paper transfer.
Construction at Jane Station and the resulting service changes continue until “early 2025”, meaning as late as until March 31, 2025.
While crews work to improve the bus loop at Jane Station, they’ll maintain passenger access to the subway platforms and to Jane Street and Armadale Avenue. They’re installing chain-link fences to safely separate pedestrian walkways from the construction site.
Expect noise, dust and vibration resulting from the construction during this work. Crews mostly work Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Occasionally, if necessary, they may work overnight or weekends to complete the project as quickly as possible.
The TTC will install wayfinding signs to direct you between the station and the on-street bus stops.
