Brampton Farmers Market

Saturday mornings and early afternoons until October 12, the City of Brampton is closing

  • Main Streets North and South between Nelson and Wellington Streets

to accommodate the city’s weekly farmers market.

Brampton Transit is detouring service while the street is closed.

2 Main

From 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Main Street North and Nelson Street, then detour:

westward along Nelson Street West, passing, but not stopping at, the Downtown Transit Terminal,
southward along George streets north and south; and then
eastward along Wellington Street West to Main South,
resuming their regular path southward along Main.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Main Street North at Queen Street West and
  • on Main Street South at Wellington Street West.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Main Street South beyond Wellington Street West.

Upper Avenue Community Market

Saturdays until October 12, the Upper Avenue Community Association hosts the market on the west side of Avenue Road between Roe Avenue and Old Orchard Grove and in the TTC’s Roe Loop. Since the transit agency is already detouring buses to operate to and from Roe Loop during ongoing onstruction at Lawrence and Lawrence West stations, it further detours the buses during the market.

11C Bayview via Lawrence Station and Avenue Rd

From 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, July 27, southbound buses start their trips on Covington Road at Brucewood Crescent, then proceed:

southward along Brucewood; and then
eastward along Lawrence Avenue West to Avenue Road,
resuming their long-term detour path eastward along Lawrence West.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • in Roe Loop and
  • on Avenue Road at Melrose, Fairlawn, Woburn and Douglas avenues

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

Beaches International Jazz Festival

The City of Toronto is closing

  • Queen Street East between Woodbine and Beech avenues

Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings to accommodate the Streetfest portion of the annual festival. It will also restrict turns from Wineva and Lee Avenues onto Queen East.

The TTC is detouring services during the event.

From 6 until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, July 25, Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Wineva Avenue and Queen Street East, then detour:

southward along Wineva; and then
westward along Alfresco Lawn to Lee Avenue,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses continue to drop off or pick up passengers at all stops.
