Lawrence Avenue East Scarborough construction: TTC detours, starting September 25



Starting 7 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Lawrence Avenue East between Pharmacy and Victoria Park avenues,

while crews repair the water main.

The TTC is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 54 Lawrence East; and
  • 354 Lawrence East overnight.

Water-main repairs on Lawrence Avenue East and the resulting TTC detour continue until September 28.

From 7 a.m. Wednesday, September 25 until 7 p.m. Saturday, September 28, westbound buses operate along their regular path to Lawrence Avenue East and Pharmacy Avenue, then detour:

southward along Pharmacy;
westward along Surrey Avenue; and then
northward along Victoria Park Avenue to Lawrence East,
resuming their regular path *westward along Lawrence.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Lawrence Avenue East at Pharmacy, Townley and Victoria Park avenues.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Pharmacy Avenue at Janet Boulevard, across from Sherwood Avenue and at Surrey Avenue and
  • on Victoria Park Avenue beyond Surrey Avenue, across from Sloane Avenue and at Janet Boulevard.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Lawrence Avenue East, then detour:

southward along Victoria Park;
eastward along Biscayne Boulevard; and then
northward along Pharmacy Avenue to Lawrence East,
resuming their regular path eastward along Lawrence.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Lawrence Avenue East across from Townley Avenue and at Pharmacy Avenue.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Victoria Park Avenue at Sloane Avenue, beyond Sweeney Drive, at Rusica Drive and beyond Draycott an Elvaston Drives and
  • on Pharmacy Avenue across from Innisdale Drive and Innismore Crescent and at Surrey and Sherwood avenues.
