Maple GO Station: Metrolinx installing pedestrian-bridge girder, starting October 21

Metrolinx and its contractors continue upgrading GO Transit’s Barrie line as part of the GO Expansion Program.

As part of the GO Expansion construction at Maple GO Station, Metrolinx contractors are installing a bridge girder at the Major Mackenzie rail bridge to support the bridge structure and smaller beams.

Crews work from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. Nearby residents and business people can expect to hear noise resulting from construction activities and while crews use a crane. The Region of York is restricting traffic

The Region is also closing the same section of Major Mackenzie to all traffic Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27.
