Greek Community of Toronto Oxi Day Parade
The City of Toronto is closing
- Danforth Avenue between Donlands and Logan Avenues
to accommodate the annual parade Sunday afternoon celebrating “NO Day”. Parade organizers assemble the floats at Eastern Commerce — southeast of Danforth and Jones Avenues — then march along Danforth Avenue to Alexander the Great Parkette at Logan Avenue.
(The event commemorates the events of October 28, 1940 when Greece said “Oxi” (“No”) — rejected an ultimatum from Italian dictator Benito Mussolini to allow his troops to occupy parts of the country.)
The TTC is detouring buses while the street is closed.

From about 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, October 27, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Donlands and Danforth Avenues, then detour:
eastward along Danforth;
