The Hamilton Street Railway is making mostly minor changes to its routes and service, starting Sunday, December 29.
However, it’s also revising the path for buses along the 1A branch of the 1 King route.
The HSR is revising service along these routes: 1 King; 2 Barton; 4 Bayfront; 20 A-Line express; 33 Sanatorium; 52 Dundas local.
Specifically, it’s: increasing service along routes; decreasing service along routes; revising the path for buses along a route; adjusting the schedules for buses along routes; and making other changes to service along routes.
Increasing service along routes
20 A-Line express
The HSR is relocating stops near John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
Starting Sunday, December 29, inbound buses serve passengers at a new stop
- on Airport Road West beyond Provident Way.
Outbound buses serve passengers at a new stop

Starting Sunday, December 29, the HSR operates earlier buses along the route Sundays and holidays.
An outbound bus starts its trip James Street North across from King William Street at 6:35 a.m. It ends in Hillcrest Loop at 6:46 a.m. An **inbound bus leaves Hillcrest at 6:47 a.m. It ends on James South north of Main Street West at 6:56 a.m.

33 Sanatorium
Starting Monday, December 30, the HSR operates a bus on a new inbound trip along the route Mondays to Fridays. The bus starts its trip in Scenic / Lavender Loop at 5:25 a.m. It ends in Frank A. Cooke Terminal at about 5:54 a.m.

Starting Sunday, December 29, eastbound buses operate start their trips in West Hamilton Loop, then proceed:
northeastward along Wilson Street East [Ancaster] and Main Street West [Hamilton] to Osler Drive,
resuming their regular route eastward along Main West.Eastbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at stops

- on Osler Drive beside University Plaza and at Main Street West.

Starting Monday, December 30, the inbound bus that usually started its trip in Scenic / Lavender Loop at 5:15 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves, instead, five minutes earlier at 5:10 a.m. It ends in Frank A. Cooke Terminal at 5:39 a.m.
The HSR is also increasing service along the route.
