Kingston Road / Victoria Park crane activity: TTC detours, January 11



From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, January 11, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Kingston Road just east of Victoria Park Avenue

to accommodate contractors who are lifting a crane at a construction site.

The TTC is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 12 Kingston Rd; and
  • 117 Birchmount South.

From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, January 11, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Kingston Road and Warden Avenue, then detour:

northward along Warden; and then
eastward along Clonmore Drive and Gerrard Street East to Victoria Park Avenue,
resuming their regular path northward along Victoria Park.

Southbound buses skip their usual stops

  • on Kingston Road at Queensbury Avenue, Hunt Club Drive, Fallingbrook Road and Blantyre and Victoria Park avenues,
  • in Bingham Loop and
  • on Victoria Park Avenue at Winston and Swanwick avenues.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Warden Avenue beyond Kingston Road and across fromIonson Boulevard,
  • on Clonmore Drive beyond Warden Avenue and across from Cornell and Queensbury avenues and
  • on Gerrard Street East beyond Clonmore Drive and across from Raymore and Blantyre avenues.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour path.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Victoria Park Avenue at Swanwick and Woodale avenues and across from Meadow Avenue (beside Bingham Loop) and
  • on Kingston Road beyond Victoria Park Avenue, at Blantyre Avenue, Fallingbrook and Wood Glen roads, across from Queensbury Avenue and at Warden Avenue.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Gerrard Street East at Blantyre and Raymore avenues and Clonmore Drive
  • on Clonmore Drive at Queensbury and Cornell avenues and
  • on Warden Avenue at Ionson Boulevard and Kingston Road.

From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, January 11, westbound buses operate along their regular path to Kingston Road and Warden Avenue, then detour:

northward along Warden; and then
eastward along Clonmore Drive and Gerrard Street East to Victoria Park Avenue,
resuming their regular path northward along Victoria Park.

Westbound buses skip their usual stops

  • on Kingston Road at Queensbury Avenue, Hunt Club Drive, Fallingbrook Road and Blantyre and Victoria Park avenues,
  • in Bingham Loop and
  • on Victoria Park Avenue at Winston and Swanwick avenues.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
