York Region Transit says it’s preparing for a major snow event. Buses continue to operate and follow regular schedules along all routes, but may experience delays as road conditions change. The transit agency is advising you to allow for extra travel time to get to your destination safely.

According to YRT, its winter maintenance contractors have been clearing snow at more than 4,800 bus stops and vivastations daily. They continue to work 24 hours a day until they completely clear the snow. YRT says, “We ask that you consider the time required to clear the significant amount of snow we experienced this week.”
