Brampton Transit is improving service along the Steeles Avenue corridor as it rolls out its next set of service changes, starting Monday, March 3.
It’s especially improving service west of Brampton Gateway Terminal by introducing:
Brampton Transit is revising service along these routes: 11 Steeles; 18 Dixie; and 511 Züm Steeles.
BT is increasing service along routes; increasing the frequency of service along routes; and adjusting the schedules for buses along a route.
Increasing service along routes
11 / 11A Steeles
Brampton Transit is introducing new service along the route west of Brampton Gateway Terminal Monday-to-Friday daytime.
Starting Monday, March 3, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops west of Brampton Gateway:
- every 20 minutes during morning rush hours;
- every 30 minutes from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.; and
- every 25 minutes, during afternoon rush hours.
BT is also increasing the hours of service along the route Saturdays, Sundays and holidays with buses operating earlier and later those days.
Starting Saturday, March 9, the first buses along the route start their trips as early as 4:30 a.m. Saturdays. The last buses end their trips as late as 12:30 p.m.
Starting Sunday, March 9, the first buses start as early as 5 a.m. Sundays and holidays. They end as late as midnight.
BT is also increasing the frequency of service along the route.
511 Züm Steeles
Brampton Transit is introducing new service along the route west of Brampton Gateway Terminal Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Starting Saturday, March 8, buses drop off or pick up passengers at Züm stations west of Brampton Gateway:
- every 30 minutes Saturdays.
Starting Sunday, March 9, buses serve passengers at the Züm stations:
- every 30 minutes Sundays and holidays before about 7 p.m.; and
- every 40 minutes after about 7 p.m.
MiWay is also increasing the frequency of service along the route.

Brampton Transit is increasing the frequency of service along the route every day.
Starting Monday, March 3, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops east of Brampton Gateway Terminal:
- every 15 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, Mondays to Fridays from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.;
- every 12 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m.; and
- every 22½ minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, after about 10 p.m.
Starting Saturday, March 8, buses serve passengers at the stops:
- every 20 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, Saturdays before about 7 p.m.; and
- every 22 to 27 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, after about 7 p.m.
Starting Sunday, March 9, buses serve passengers:
- every 20 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, Sundays and holidays before about 7 p.m.; and
- every 25 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, after about 7 p.m.
Starting Monday, March 3, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops west of Brampton Gateway:
- every 25 minutes, instead of every hour, Mondays to Fridays from about 7 until 10 p.m.; and
- every 45 minutes, instead of every hour, after about 10 p.m.
Starting Saturday, March 8, buses serve passengers at the stops:
- every 42 minutes, instead of every hour, Saturdays before about 7 p.m.;
- every 45 minutes, instead of every hour, from about 7 until 10 p.m.; and
- every 55 minutes, instead of every hour, after about 10 p.m.
Starting Sunday, March 9, buses serve passengers:
- every 40 minutes, instead of every hour, Sundays and holidays before about 7 a.m.; and
- every 45 minutes, instead of every hour, after about 7 p.m.
BT is also increasing service along the route.
511 / 511C Züm Steeles
Brampton Transit is increasing the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays.
Starting Monday, March 3, buses drop off or pick up passengers at Züm stations east of Sheridan College’s Davis campus:
- every 7 minutes, instead of every 7½ minutes, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours;
- every 7½ minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.; and
- every 7 minutes, instead of every 7½ minutes, during afternoon rush hours.
Starting Saturday, March 8, buses serve passengers at the Züm stations:
- every 13 minutes, instead of every 15 minutes, Saturdays before about 6 a.m.;
- every 15 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, from about 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and
- every 18 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, after about 8 p.m.
BT is also increasing service along the route.
Adjusting the schedules for buses along a route
18 Dixie
Starting Monday, March 3, Brampton Transit adjusts the schedules for buses operating to and from the UPS facility in Caledon every day.
