Starting 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, the City of Toronto is closing
- Cordova Avenue between Dundas Street West and Central Park Roadway
to accommodate contractors who are lifting a crane at a construction site.
The TTC is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:
Crane activity on Cordova Avenue and the resulting TTC detours continue until April 13.
Closing Cordova Avenue to traffic likely also affects MiWay service along the 26 Burnhamthorpe route, but MiWay has not announced detours.
50 Burnhamthorpe
From 8 p.m. Friday, April 11 until 11 p.m. Sunday, April 13, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Burnhamthorpe Road and Dundas Street West, then detour:
eastward along Dundas West; and then
southward along Islington Avenue to Cordova Avenue / Central Park Roadway,
resuming their regular path southward along Islington.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Cordova Avenue beyond Dundas Street West and
- on Central Park Roadway at Islington Avenue.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Islington Avenue beyond Dundas Street West.
Westbound buses operate along their regular path to Cordova and Mabelle avenues, then detour:
west- and northward along Mabelle Avenue; and then
eastward along Dundas Street West to Burnhamthorpe Road / Cordova Avenue,
resuming their regular path northwestward along Burnhamthorpe.Westbound buses skip their regular stop
- on Cordova Avenue at Central Park Roadway.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Mabelle Avenue beside #24 Mabelle, across from #49 Mabelle and at Dundas Street West.
40A Junction - Dundas West
From 8 p.m. Friday, April 11 until 11 p.m. Sunday, April 13, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Dundas Street West and Mabelle Avenue, then proceed:
northeastward along Dundas West to Burnhamthorpe Road / Cordova Avenue,
resuming their regular path northeastward along Dundas.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Mabelle Avenue beyond Dundas Street West and beside #s 25 and 49 Mabelle and
- on Cordova Avenue at Central Park Roadway.
Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.
Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Cordova Avenue beyond Dundas Street West and
- on Mabelle Avenue beside #24 Mabelle, across from #49 Mabelle and at Dundas Street West.
