Sherbourne Street crane activity: TTC detour, May 3



From 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Sherbourne Street between Gerrard and Dundas streets east

to accommodate contractors who are lifting a crane at a construction site.

The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 75 Sherbourne.

From 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Sherbourne Street and Gerrard Street East, then detour:

eastward along Gerrard East;
southward along Parliament Street; and then
westward along Dundas Street East to Sherbourne,
resuming their regular path southward along Sherbourne.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Sherbourne Street at Gerrard and Dundas streets east.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Parliament Street across from Oak Street and at Dundas Street East and
  • on Dundas Street East at Ontario Street.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour path.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Sherbourne Street at Gerrard Street East.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Dundas Street East at Ontario Street and
  • on Parliament Street at Oak Street.
