Starting Tuesday, July 22, the Town of Newmarket is closing
- Alex Doner Drive between Sykes Road and Borland Court
to accommodate a construction project.
York Region Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 57 Mulock.
Construction on Alex Doner Drive and the resulting YRT detour continue until July 24.

From Tuesday, July 22 until 11 p.m. Thursday, July 24, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Crossland Gate and Alex Doner Drive [north], then detour:
west- and southbound along Alex Doner to Sykes Road,
resuming their regular path westward along Sykes.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Crossland Gate at Lakeview Glenway [north] and across from Fairway Gardens [south] and
- on Alex Doner Drive beyond Crossland Gate, at Kirby Crescent [east] and across from Otton and Sykes roads.
Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour path.
Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Alex Doner Drive at Otton Road, Brimson Drive and Crossland Gate [south] and
- on Crossland Gate at Fairway Gardens [south and north] and across from Alex Doner Drive [north].
