Update — Saturday, August 30, 10:15 a.m.: The TTC is revising the detour path starting Labour Day, Monday, September 1. Construction on Grandravine and the resulting TTC detour continue until November 15.
Starting 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, the City of Toronto is closing
- Grandravine Drive between Futura Drive and Ollerton Road
to accommodate a project to replace the culvert carrying the roadway over Black Creek. The City says, “This work will ensure that the culvert meets today’s standards and remains safe for vehicles and pedestrians into the future.” City Council approved the project as part of the 2024 capital budget.
The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 108A Driftwood via Grandravine.
This phase of construction at the Black Creek culvert on Grandravine Drive and the resulting TTC detour continue until August 30.
The City previously closed Grandravine for the same construction project and the TTC detoured the buses from Wednesday, July 2 until Saturday, July 12.

From 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 23 until 5 p.m. Saturday, August 30, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Grandravine Drive and Arleta Avenue, then detour:
southward along Arleta;
eastward along Sheppard Avenue West; and then
northward along Keele Street to Grandravine,
resuming their regular path northward along Keele.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Grandravine Drive across from Futura Drive, Ollerton Road and Gambelo Crescent, at Sentinel Road, across from Derrydown Road and at Keele Street.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Arleta Avenue at Medal Lane, John Lindsay Court, Spenvalley Drive and Sheppard Avenue West,
- on Sheppard Avenue West at Downsview Dells Park, beyond Sentinel Road and at the walkway to Norman Wesley Way and
- on Keele Street beond Sheppard Avenue West and across from #3400 Keele, Dovehouse Avenue and Grandravine Drive.
Eastbound buses operate reverse the westbound detour path,
Eastbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Grandravine Drive beyond Keele Street and at Derrydown and Sentinel roads, Gambello Crescent, Ollerton Road and Futura Drive.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Keele Street beyond Dovehouse Avenue and beside #3400 Keele,
- on Sheppard Avenue West beside #1450 Sheppard West and at Sentinel Road and Northwood Park and
- on Arleta Avenue beyond Sheppard Avenue West, at Tina Court, across from John Lindsay Court and Medal Lane and at Grandravine Drive.
