Streetcars along routes 304 and 504 are already detouring from their regular path due to ongoing construction at King Street East and Church Street.

From 11 p.m. Wednesday, August 13 until 4 a.m. Thursday, August 14, westbound cars operate along their regular path to Broadview Avenue and Dundas Street East, then further detour:

westward along Dundas East; and then
southward along Church Street to Queen Street East,
resuming their long-term detour path southward along Church.

Westbound cars skip their regular stops

• on Broadview Avenue and Queen Street East; and
• on Queen Street East at Carroll Street.

And, they skip their long-term detour stops:

• on Queen Street East at River, Sumach, Sackville, Parliament, Ontario, Sherbourne, Jarvis and Church streets.

Instead, westbound cars drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

• on Dundas Street East at Munro and River streets, across from Regent Park Boulevard and at Parliament, Ontario, Sherbourne, Jarvis and Church streets.

Shuttle buses replace the cars between Broadview Avenue and Church Street. Westbound streetcar passengers may board westbound buses on the east side of Broadview Avenue north of Dundas Street East.

• on Queen Street East across from Carroll Street and at Broadview Avenue and
• on Broadview Avenue at Dundas Street East.

Instead, eastbound cars drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

• on Dundas Street East at Jarvis, Sherbourne, Ontario and Parliament streets, Regent Park Boulevard and at River and Munro streets and Broadview Avenue.

Shuttle buses replace the cars between Church Street and Broadview Avenue. Eastbound streetcar passengers may board eastbound buses on the south side of King Street west of Yonge Street. (Passengers must walk one block south from the regular streetcar stop on Adelaide Street West at Yonge.)

304D / 504D King shuttle buses

Since Sunday, May 11, the TTC has been operating buses along these routes to replace 303 Kingston Rd overnight, 304 King overnight, 503 Kingston Rd and 504 King streetcar service due to ongoing construction at King Street East and Church Street.

From 11 p.m. Wednesday, August 13 until 4 a.m. Thursday, August 14, the transit agency extends the path for buses along the route during the streetcar infrastructure work on Queen Street East.

Westbound buses start their trips in Broadview Station terminal, then proceed:

southward along Broadview Avenue to Jack Layton Way,
resuming their regular path southward along Broadview.

Westbound buses skip their regular stop

• on Gerrard Street East at St. Matthews Road.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

• in Broadview Station terminal (504D only),
• on Broadview Avenue at Danforth Avenue, across from Wolfrey Avenue, Millbrook Crescent and Withrow and Langley avenues and at Jack Layton Way.

Westbound bus passengers may board westbound streetcars on the north side of Richmond Street East west of Yonge Street. (Passengers must walk two blocks north from the bus stop on King Street East at Yonge.)

(The TTC hasn’t detailed how buses turn around at either end of their path. We’ve based this part of the post on information that it supplied during other occasions when it operated shuttle buses in the area. Note that this is unofficial information. The TTC may operate buses with a different service pattern during this detour.)

From 11 p.m. Wednesday, August 13 until 4 a.m. Thursday, August 14, buses replace streetcars along the 301 Queen overnight and 501 Queen routes between Broadview Avenue and Church Street.

Eastbound buses start their trips on Pape Avenue north of Eastern Avenue, then proceed:

westward along Eastern;
northward along Carlaw Avenue;
eastward along Queen East;
southward along Church Street;
eastward along Richmond streets east and west; and then
northward along York Street to Queen West,
ending their trips.

Westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

• on Pape Avenue at Eastern Avenue
• on Carlaw Avenue beyond Eastern Avenue and at Queen Street East,
• on Queen Street East at Logan Avenue, beyond Booth Avenue and at Boulton and Broadview avenues, River, Sumach, Sackville, Parliament, Ontario, Sherbourne and Jarvis streets,
• on Church Street at Richmond Street East,
• on Richmond Street West beyond Yonge Street and at York Street.

Westbound bus passengers may board westbound streetcars on the west side of Church Street north of Richmond Street East.

eastward along Queen West;
southward along Bay Street;
eastward along Adelaide streets west and east;
northward along Church Street;
eastward along Queen East; and then
southward along Pape Avenue to Eastern Avenue,
ending their trips.

Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

• on Adelaide Street West at Yonge Street,
• on Adelaide Street East at Church Street,
• on Church Street at Queen Street East,
• on Queen Street East at Jarvis, Sherbourne, Ontario, Parliament, Sackville, Sumach and River streets, across from Carroll Street, at Broadview Avenue, Saulter Street and Empire, Logan, Carlaw and Pape avenues and
• on Pape Avenue at Eastern Avenue.

Eastbound bus passengers may board eastbound streetcars on the west side of Broadview Avenue north of Queen Street East.
