Sherbourne Street crane activity: TTC detour, overnight August 22, 23



From 11 p.m. Saturday, August 22 until 6 a.m. Sunday, August 23, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Sherbourne Street between Howard and Isabella streets

to accommodate contractors who are lifting a crane at a construction site.

The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 75 Sherbourne.

From 11 p.m. Saturday, August 22 until 6 a.m. Sunday, August 23, southbound buses operate along their regular path to Sherbourne Street and Bloor Street East, then detour:

westward along Bloor East;
southward along Ted Rogers Way and Jarvis Street; and then
eastward along Isabella Street to Sherbourne,
resuming their regular path southward along Sherbourne.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Sherbourne Street beyond Bloor Street East and at Isabella Street.

Northbound buses operate along their regular path to Sherbourne and Earl streets, then detour:

eastward along Earl;
northward along Bleecker Street; and then
westward along Howard Street to Sherbourne,
resuming their regular path northward along Sherbourne.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Sherbourne Street beyond Earl Street.
